Tomas van Houtryve: “Photographing Notre-Dame Became an Obsession”

After five years of work, Notre-Dame de Paris is reopening its doors. Photographer Tomas van Houtryve was one of the few granted access to follow the progress of the restoration project. His book 36 Views of Notre-Dame, featuring some images taken with a large-format camera, documents this grand and inspiring human adventure. He shares how his encounter with the cathedral turned into the adventure of a lifetime.
