(Episode 1) The Vendée Globe—a non-stop, unassisted, solo sailing race around the world—is among the toughest human challenges on Earth. On November 10, forty sailors, men and women, embarked on a quest to conquer what’s famously known as the “Everest of the Seas.” For this 10th edition of the legendary race, Blind followed the official photographers at the starting line to bring you an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at this epic adventure.

More than 6,000 people have summited Everest. Four hundred and ninety-eight have been to space. Yet only eighty-four sailors have ever completed the Vendée Globe.
